The Sacrament of Confirmation/First Eucharist

Sally SchaubleDirector of Religious Education
623-465-9740 x105

Once a child has received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, ordinarily occurring in the second grade, he/she will be prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation and First Eucharist. Both sacraments will be celebrated in the same Sacred Liturgy. Several years ago, our Diocese implemented the Restored Order, therefore, Confirmation and First Eucharist MUST be celebrated together.

Children must be in the third grade or older and display an openness of heart through Mass attendance, consistent attendance in formation classes, participation in the retreat and a willingness to participate in community service. Candidates must provide a copy of the baptismal certificate. The full address of the Parish of Baptism must be on the certificate.
