About my position
Though I am native to western Pennsylvania, my wife, Pat, and I and lived and worked near Philadelphia for more than 25 years where I was ordained in June of 2001. We settled in the Valley in 2006 and I was assigned by Bishop Olmstead to serve at St. Rose and The Mission of the Good Shepherd in May, 2007. Deacons are ordained to serve at the altar, in Ministry of the Word and work of charity, so I serve the Parish in helping to prepare parents for Baptism of their children, working with people seeking annulment of marriages, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, and with the Just Faith program.
About me
Pat and I have been married 30 years and share our home with two dogs: a black and silver German Shepherd named Sugar Bear, and an Aussie Shepherd named Sonny. I also work as the Director of Support Services for the Crosier Fathers and Brothers, an 800-year-old religious order of priests and brothers founded in the Netherlands.
What I like about our Catholic Community of St. Rose and The Mission of the Good Shepherd
I especially enjoy serving at a young Parish where we are working to establish our traditions, our identity as a Parish, and our presence in the community.
