Pre-K to Grade 5 Religious Education
Our Catholic Community of St. Rose and The Mission of the Good Shepherd offers quality religious education (RE) programs for grades Pre-K to Grade 5. We provide a systematic faith formation program taught to the children at an age-appropriate level. It is expanded upon each year as they develop their ability to comprehend and practice their faith. Our program is divided into three groups:
- Preschool - 3 and 4-year-olds: The emphasis is on building a relationship with God and one another and an understanding God's great love for us.
- Kindergarten - 3rd Grade: Our curriculum promotes knowledge of the faith through our understanding of, and relationship with, Jesus Christ. We emphasize our relationship with one another through church community life. We also help parents form their children in areas of moral development, prayer life and liturgical formation and practice.
- Grades 4 and 5: "Opening the Gifts" is our 4th and 5th grade program that encourages life-long learning. During these years, we work with children to discern their gifts and prepare them for mission in service of the Church.
There are two options for PreSchool - 5th grade RE classes:
Both are held at Anthem Elementary School: On Sunday mornings, from 9:15am to 10:30am, twice monthly.
On Wednesday afternoons, from 4:15pm to 5:30pm, twice monthly.
Classes are in session from the first Sunday/Wednesday after Labor Day through the first Sunday/Wednesday of May. RE program registrations are accepted year-round for students in Pre-K through high school.
Please visit the RE Registration webpage for more information.
