Children's Liturgy of the Word

During all three Masses (Saturday at 5:00pm and Sunday at 8:00am and 11:00am), children are escorted after the opening prayer to a designated area in the church. We discuss the readings of the week at a level that is appropriate for their age. They discover how these words relate to their own life situations. After the Liturgy of the Word, the children are escorted back to the church where they join their families and continue in the celebration of the Mass with the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

This program is offered for all children in Kindergarten through third grade. Recognizing that the parents are the first and best teachers of the faith, we offer supplemental materials on the readings of the week for our children and parents each week. We offer this program year round and no formal registration is required.
