Parish Verification for Discounted Tuition Rates
We are fortunate to have in our diocese a number of Catholic elementary schools as well as several high schools. Here at St. Rose, we support the vision of Catholic education and, should you choose one of our Catholic schools as an option for your child, we are grateful for the opportunity to assist you in receiving tuition assistance.
Tuition assistance is available to those families that are actively participating in the life of the community. This is a benefit for those families supporting their faith communities with their time and treasure. It is important to note that the criteria used in determining “active and participating in parish” membership may vary from parish to parish, therefore, each parish may have their own established policies.
At St. Rose our three requirements are:
- The family must be registered members of St. Rose Catholic community.
- Must be regularly attending either the Saturday Vigil or a Sunday Mass for six months prior to submitting application. As in all parishes, we record the offering envelopes as a way of establishing attendance.
- Must also be active in at least one other aspect of parish life. This could be through a parish group, service ministry or parish formation programs. Participation in certain parish events might also be considered. Additional opportunities may be found in the parish ministry handbook.
After submitting the form our office will need one week to verify and have your document signed and sealed. Please plan accordingly.
We know your child’s education is important and we support you in your decision to educate your child in our schools and raise your child in the faith we cherish. If you are able to meet the criteria established by this parish, we will be most happy to validate your forms for a reduction in tuition.
