Mother's Life Line Ministry
Being a mom is hard work. Ask any mom and she will tell you that this, truly, is the toughest job she will ever love. While many mothers are fortunate enough to have a support network on which they can rely (spouse, their own mom, friends who are also moms), there are mothers doing this totally on their own. And they need help. St. Rose's Mother's Lifeline Ministry provides the support they need.
The Ministry started out as donations of diapers, wipes, infant clothing and formula brought to Christmas Eve Mass three years ago. These items were then donated to needy charities around the Phoenix area. Now that there is enough space at the parish to house the donations on-site, they are now provided directly to needy families.
Donations of diapers, pull-ups, wipes, formula, blankets, infant clothing, baby toiletries and bottles, etc. are being sought at this time. While the Ministry is only accepting donations of new items right now, in the future, when more space is available, it may take gently used furniture and car seats.
Mother's Lifeline provides assistance to anyone with a need - low income families, teenage moms, single moms, or people down on their luck - and offers support to persons of all faiths and in all parishes. The Ministry will distribute donations to families located primarily in Anthem, New River, Desert Hills, and the surrounding areas. If you know of someone who needs assistance, or need assistance yourself, please call the St. Rose Parish Office at 623-465-9740.
