Ushers help facilitate seating at Mass, take up the collection and ensure an orderly flow during Communion.
Husbands and wives, as well as single Parishioners, are encouraged to serve in this ministry. While Ushers are seated with their families when not performing their specific responsibilities, they do need to remain alert for emergencies that may occur and report emergency incidents to the Pastor. They also remain behind after Mass to help spruce up the worship space for the next Mass.
This is an excellent ministry for those who love to serve, greet people and make them feel welcome when they attend Mass at our Parish.
